Get Real! Mentoring Program

Get Real! Mentoring Program The Get Real! Mentoring Program is a special Girl Scout Program offered by Councils across Florida. The Florida Panhandle Get Real! program is a special way for girls to have one on one mentoring, and become a Girl Scout.

The mission of the Get Real! program is to impact school performance and attendance of at risk middle school girls, by increasing their motivation and ability to make positive life choices, with the help from caring community members serving as the girl’s mentors. Get Real! promotes reading and writing opportunities to help improve literacy skills.

Who can be a mentor?

YOU can be a mentor.
Mentors are people who come from all social, economic and educational backgrounds. Mentors have one thing in common; commitment to making a difference in the life of a child.

Mentors for Get Real! are:

Mentors ARE NOT a parent substitute, an authority figure, baby sitter, disciplinarian, therapist, or a judge.
