Furloughs
Furloughs
Announced for Girls Scouts of Florida Panhandle, Inc.
Beginning in September, 2010, Girl Scout Council of the Florida
Panhandle will implement staff furloughs (time off without
pay). This will be a Council-wide furlough on the following
days through the end of 2010:
September 17, 2010
October 22, 2010
November 24, 2010
December 24, 2010
All Offices, Shops, and Camps will be CLOSED.
To
comply with furlough arrangements, staff will not, shall not,
must not come into the offices, shops, or camps; nor access
Council resources via email, computer or phone. This includes
the CEO and all paid employees of the Girl Scout of the Florida
Panhandle, Inc.
Exceptions:
EMERGENCIES: The emergency
phone number provided by the Council will be answered and acted
upon in case of an emergency. All crisis responses and
procedures will be executed by staff regardless of furlough
status.
These are difficult times, and as we make
tough choices we will stay true to our primary focus – building
girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a
better place.
